As part of the policy revision and coordination project, the Registration Committee considered information regarding the current Language Proficiency Requirements Policy.
At the November 12
th, 2018 meeting, the Committee moved to recommend amendments to the current policy for Council’s consideration. These amendments include:
- Removing the requirement for demonstration of language proficiency prior to attempt the Qualifying Examination;
- Adding CLBA and CLBPT to list of accepted standardized test for English Language Proficiency;
- Updating minimum cut-off scores;
- Adding “extending the period of validity of language proficiency test scores” provision; and
- Adding “acceptance of non-objective evidence (NOE) of language proficiency” provision.
