• Dec 20 Chief Examiner Appointed The College is pleased to announce that Mr. Robert Velensky, DD, has been appointed by Council to serve as the Chief Examiner for a three-year term beginning with the February 2024 examination. Download

• Nov 17 February 2024 Qualifying Examination Dates Announced The next administration of the College’s MCQ and OSCE examination is scheduled for February 2024. Registration for the February examination is now open. Download
• Nov 9 Revamped Member Portal The CDO is extremely pleased to announce the launch date of its revamped and modernized Member Portal. The new Member Portal will go live on Monday, November 13, 2023, for all Denturists Download
• Oct 26 Request for Applications - Chief Examiner The College is currently seeking applicants for the position of Chief Examiner to serve a three-year term (2024-2027) that will cover approximately 6 administrations of the College’s Qualifying Examination. Download
• Oct 25 New Registration Year End CDO Council has approved, on recommendation from the College’s Third-Party Auditors, aligning its registration year end with the fiscal year end. Practically speaking, the registration year end will move up by two weeks to align with the fiscal year end of March 31st. This will result in further operational efficiencies and greater clarity on the dates and deadlines for Denturists. Download

• Oct 3 Public Consultation - By-law Amendment: Fees for Emergency Class of Registration The CDO is seeking feedback from Registered Denturists, members of the public, and stakeholders on the proposed amendment to Schedule 7, the Fee Schedule, of the College By-Laws to incorporate fees for the the new Emergency Class of Registration and the (not-yet-approved) Inactive Class of Registration. • Sep 29 By-election Results for Districts 1, 3, 4 & 7 The following professional members have been elected to Council by acclamation: Mr. Franklin Parada (District 3), Ms. Annie Chu (District 4), and Mr. Majid Ahangaran (District 7). No nominations of candidacy were received for District 1. A by-election will be called in that district pursuant to Article 14.02 of the College By-laws. Download

• Sep 19 Professional Development Opportunity - Truth and Reconciliation We wanted to let you know that the National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation will be hosting free webinars next week from 1:30 pm - 2:20 pm EDT. Denturists and staff are encouraged to attend these webinars to deepen their understanding of the history of the First Nations, Metis, and Inuit. Download
• Jul 19 COVID-19 Guidelines Rescinded The CDO is rescinding its COVID-19 guidance effective immediately in lock step with the three other Oral Health Profession Regulators representing Dentists, Dental Hygienists, and Dental Technologists who will also be rescinding their respective COVID-19 guidelines. • Jun 23 Notice of By-Election - Districts 1, 3, 4 & 7 On September 21, 2023, the College of Denturists of Ontario is conducting by-elections for members of Council for Districts 1, 3, 4, and 7. Nominations must be received by August 7, 2023. Download
• Jun 2 Executive Committee Meeting (Public) An Executive Committee Meeting (Public) will be held on Friday, June 9, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (hybrid). Due to vacancies, the CDO Council is currently un-constituted and the 112th Council Meeting originally scheduled for this date has been converted to a public meeting of the Executive Committee. • Mar 1 2023-2024 Annual Registration Renewal Certificate of Registration and Health Profession Corporation Certificate of Authorization Renewal opened today, March 1, 2023. Download
• Feb 14 Public Consultation - 2023 Registration Regulation Amendments In April 2022, Bill 106, the Pandemic and Emergency Preparedness Act, 2022 came into effect. Bill 106 requires all Health Profession Regulatory Colleges to establish an Emergency Class of Registration. Each health regulator has been required to propose changes to their registration regulations to allow for an emergency class. Download
