Qualifying Examination – Appeal of Results
Details regarding the Qualifying Examination Appeal (QE) process are found in the Qualifying Examination Appeal Policy.
Grounds for Appeal
An appeal will be considered by the QE Appeals Committee only if the candidate claims that their unsuccessful examination attempt was a result of one or more of the following specific circumstances:
- Illness on examination day
- Personal emergency
- Procedural irregularities
The QE Appeals Committee does not consider complaints regarding the content of the examination or possible responses to examination questions.
A candidate must submit a written request, stating “Notice of Appeal”, within fifteen (15) business days of the release of the examination results, if he/she wishes the QE Appeals Committee to review the specific circumstances that, in the candidate’s opinion, affected the candidate’s examination performance.
All appeals, or information or communication relating to an appeal must be submitted to the College in writing.
The QE Appeals Committee will review the candidate’s written appeal to determine whether a remedy may be provided. All appeals are treated impartially and confidentially.
