Qualifying Examination Dates & Deadlines

The Qualifying Examination is typically administered twice each year. The Winter Examination is held in January and the Summer Examination in June. Dates and deadlines for future administrations are confirmed and posted in September for the Winter administration and February for the Summer administration. 


COVID-19 Notice for Potential Candidates

With the rapid evolution of the COVID-19 pandemic, the College would like to provide information surrounding the Qualifying Examinations. 

  • Initial Applications – Open and Ongoing – Applications will continue to be accepted and processed. Please note that the College cannot receive Express post, Registered mail or materials by couriers at this time. Please send electronic copies of documents by email ONLY to   

  • Summer 2020 Qualifying Examinations – Administration of the Qualifying Examination on the previously published dates of June 25 (MCQ) and June 27 & 28 (OSCE) is cancelled.  Confirmed candidates will also receive notification by email to the address that they have provided to the College. 

    Registration for the next administration of the Qualifying Examination is Closed at this time. Once a date for the exam has been confirmed, registration will re-open. 

    Currently, the College anticipates scheduling the Winter administration of the Qualifying  Examination for sometime in January 2021.  This is subject to change and candidates or potential candidates should check back to the College website often for the most up to date information. 

The College’s Qualifying Examinations will only proceed when the safety and well-being of all candidates, standardized patients, administrators and assessors can be assured.  The College will continue to monitor this evolving situation. Updated information regarding the Qualifying Examination will be posted on the College website.
