New Self Assessment Tool Now Available!

This newly developed, important component of the Quality Assurance Program is designed to assist Registered Denturists in identifying areas within their practice that may benefit from further education, training, or review. It is sometimes difficult for professionals to accurately identify these areas and the Quality Assurance Committee has developed this tool to assist you in identifying and achieving your professional goals.

Use of the Self-Assessment Tool will be voluntary until the end of 2021. Beginning in 2022, you will be required to complete the SAT as part of the 2022-2025 CPD Cycle and once every subsequent CPD cycle.  Registered Denturists are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the SAT this year while the use of it is voluntary. 
It is important to note that this tool was designed to assist Registered Denturists in planning their CPD activity.

It is not a tool for the College to evaluate or review responses from individual members.  However, the College is interested in trends in the combined responses to determine whether there are any supports, such as webinars, that the College could offer to support the CPD activities of Registered Denturists.     

Completion of the Self-Assessment Tool during 2021 will qualify for unstructured CPD credits – 1 credit for each hour of participation. 

Please review the accompanying SAT Manual for more information and for instructions on how you can complete this self-assessment.  

You can also sign up for an upcoming webinar that is designed to familiarize you with the Professional Practice Portal and the online Self-Assessment Tool. During this webinar you will be able to view a walkthrough of the online tool and there will be an opportunity to ask questions about the process. These webinars will be offered in March.  More will be added if demand exceeds the available spots.
