Resignations, Reinstatements, & Retired Status
Resignations
Registered Denturists who are ready to resign their Certificates of Registration can complete the online Resignation Form found in the Registrant Portal under "Forms" and "Change in Status Request".
A formal resignation is a professional decision that must be made carefully. A registrant who resigns and wishes to re-apply in the future must meet all the registration requirements in place at the time of their new application including potentially recompleting the Qualfying Examinations if they have resigned more than three years. We encourage registrants who are unsure or not yet ready to resign to apply for the Inactive Class.
Reinstatements
The College has reinstatement provisions in place for registrants who resigned in good standing and wish to return within 3 years of the approved last date of practice.
If you wish to be reinstated, please contact the College's Registration Department directly.
The following are important notes regarding the reinstatement provisions:
- The reinstatement application must be submitted within 3 years of the approved last date of practice aka resignation date. After 3 years of your last date of practice, you will be required to submit a new Certificate of Registration including completion of the Qualifying Examinations.
- You will be required to pay any missed Annual Renewal Fees over the past 3 years.
- You will be required to pay a $500.00 reinstatement fee in addition to the Annual Renewal fees.
- You will be required to pay all outstanding fees and invoices owed at the time of resignation.
- You did not resign while under investigation by the Registrar or a Committee of the College, or the subject of a discipline hearing that was not yet completed.
- You were not subject to an outstanding order of a Committee or of a panel of a Committee of the College when you resigned.
As well, the following are further ineligibility criteria as noted in the Registration Regulation that applies if the former Registrant,
(a) was, after they ceased to be a Registrant, found guilty of any criminal offence in any jurisdiction or of any offence involving the use, possession or sale of drugs in any jurisdiction;
(b) was, after they ceased to be a Registrant, found guilty of any offence in any jurisdiction relating to the practice of denturism or any other profession;
