Public Consultation - Removal of Unique Identifier Requirement
At its March 8, 2024, meeting, the CDO Council approved for 60-day public and stakeholder consultation the removal of the requirement for all Patient Charts and Patient Records to have unique identifiers to distinguish them from other patient charts and records.

Patient Relations Program
As mandated by the Health Professions Procedural Code of the Regulated Health Professions Act, 1991, the College maintains a Patient Relations Program that is administered by the Patient Relations Committee. The Committee assists and oversees the development of measures for the prevention of sexual abuse of patients, member education and guidelines for the conduct of members with their patients. The Committee is also charged with overseeing programs for training of College staff around matters related to patient sexual abuse as well as the provision of information to the public.
The Committee also directs the administration of funding for therapy and counselling of victims of sexual abuse by a Denturist.
