Making More Information Available to the Public
The College of Denturists of Ontario, and all health care regulators, strive to be accountable to the public by being as open as possible.
That means being transparent about what we do and why we do it, and providing as much information as we can about the Denturists we regulate.
In November 2014, the College of Denturists of Ontario responded to a letter from the Ontario Minister of Health and a letter from the Assistant Deputy Minister, asking all regulators to make more information publicly available. In its response, the CDO outlined its action plan to enhance transparency.
In December 2014, Council also adopted the Advisory Group for Regulatory Excellence (AGRE) Transparency Principles, to help the College guide decisions.
In September 2016, the Council of the College of Denturists of Ontario approved changes to the College By-laws. These By-law changes make more information regarding Ontario’s Denturists available on the Public Register.
